  • LIGHTNING RIDGE PAINTING

    An oil painting inspired by my recent visit to Lightning Ridge!
    Lightning Ridge is a town in north-western New South Wales, Australia, in Walgett Shire, near the southern border of Queensland. The Lightning Ridge area is a world epicentre of the mining of black opals and other opal gemstones. Lightning Ridge has the largest known deposits of black opals in the world. The name Lightning Ridge is said to have originated when in the 1870’s some passers by found the bodies of a farmer, his dog and 600 sheep which had been struck by lightning.

  • ONE DIRECTION speed painting

    Artist Wayne has painted the phenomenally successful boy band – ONE DIRECTION!! Not only that, he has videoed it to created a speed painting! So throw on a couple of your favourite ONE DIRECTION hits and enjoy the show!
    One Direction are a British-Irish boy band consisting of members Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.

  • Sheepyard and Community War Memorial

    This was a very special place Wayne and Jacqui visited whilst on their Outback Adventure. The memorial consists of a series of ironstone boulders in a semi-circular design. In the centre is a beefwood sign and there are a number of war plaques on individual boulders.
    The Opal Mining area around Sheepyard has a year round population of 500-700.

  • HOW TO PAINT A TIGER – Part 2

    Artist Wayne shows us how to paint a tiger using oil paints! For this demo only seven colours were used – Yellow Ochre, Gold Ochre, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber, French Ultramarine, Titanium White and just a tiny amount of green for the tigers eyes.

  • Tyrannosaurs rex Sculpture 3

    The Tyrannosaurus rex sculpt is really coming along now!!
    More than 30 specimens of Tyrannosaurus rex have been identified, some of which are nearly complete skeletons. Soft tissue and proteins have been reported in at least one of these specimens. The abundance of fossil material has allowed significant research into many aspects of its biology, including life history and biomechanics. The feeding habits, physiology and potential speed of Tyrannosaurus rex are a few subjects of debate.

    This portrait is Pam’s gift to her parents George and Joan, for their 90th Birthday’s!! George served with the 53rd Anti-aircraft Regiment in New Guinea and Joan was a code breaker during the war!!

  • OUTBACK ADVENTURE ! – AUGATHELLA

    Wayne and Jacqui left beautiful Camooweal and headed back towards NSW. First stop was Winton, and then it was off to Augathella.Along the way Wayne photographed many of the lovely War Memorials as they passed through Blackall and Tambo.
    Augathella is a town in western Queensland, Australia, and is part of the Murweh Shire. Augathella lies on the Matilda Highway, is 85 kilometres north of the town of Charleville, and 748 kilometres west of Brisbane. The town came into being initially as a resting place for bullock teams lying at the convergence of three bullock tracks from Morven, Tambo, and Charleville.

  • Tyrannosaurus rex Sculpture 2

    The Tyrannosaurus skeleton sculpt is certainly coming along now!! Artist Wayne has created all the neck vertebrae and ribs, teeth for the bottom jaw are now done…it’s looking fantastic!!
    Tyrannosaurus ( meaning “tyrant lizard”, from Greek tyrannos meaning “tyrant,” and sauros meaning “lizard”) is a genus of coelurosaurian theropod dinosaur. The species Tyrannosaurus rex (rex meaning “king” in Latin), commonly abbreviated to T. rex, is a fixture in popular culture.
